People from Prampram in the Diaspora

At last the long-standing chieftancy dispute between the different factions in Prampram was finally settled last week (1:02:04) and there is now a good prospect of harmony in the town. With reconciliation between the different factions, the elders and the people of Prampram can now begin to work together for the good of their town.

The time is now right for those of us in the Diaspora to influence events in the town and on issues such as land issues, education, health, vocational training, preservation of our language, culture and way of life.

A small UK-based organisation called Dangme West Vision (UK) is currently embarking on making contact with people from Prampram in the Diaspora with the intention of setting up a Prampram Overseas Action Group to develop ideas and action plan to assist in the economic and social development of the town.

In January 2004 Dangme West Vision (UK) donated 40 school desks and chairs to the Anglican School and is currently arranging for supply of two computers to the same school.

Those interested in sharing information about Prampram and how to help the town, please contact Naadu-tse Awuley Doku of Agbazo-Wen by emailing him at dangmewest@blueyonder.co.uk or telephone 0044 7751333631.
