Osafo-Maafo Storms Chicago in a Door to Door Style

Osafo-Maafo’s seriousness in making Ghanaians Living Abroad an integral part of his policies was showcased over the weekend with the overwhelming support in Chicago purely emanating from people who hail from the various regions of Ghana .

A team of vibrant coordinators, some of who are in the academia was activated by Honourable Osafo-Maafo to meet with his overwhelming supporters in Chicago through a strategic door to door exercise prior to his coming to Chicago on the 6th of November, 2006. The team met with some chiefs, elders, businessmen, lawyers, professors, ordinary Ghanaians and the wife of the late former head of state of Ghana .

In Bolingbrook , one of the influential personalities in the Ghanaian community asked as to why the NPP’s presidential aspirants have not had any political debates since they all declared their intentions for the position of president despite Hon. Osafo Maafo’s frequent call for a debate among the Presidential aspirants. Kwaku Ampadu (PhD), a leading coordinator for the North American Campaign answered by saying that Honourable Osafo-Maafo, over the months has been calling for a political debate among the various presidential aspirants but his call has not been embraced by the other presidential aspirants. He quickly added that he hoped that Honourable Osafo-Maafo’s call would finally be embraced by all the other aspirants in the good interest of Ghana and the electorates.

Mr. Francis Opoku Asante, the campaign coordinator for Chicago , expressed his appreciation to the supporters and the sympathizers as well for their enthusiastic reception. He further added that their support would always be needed and that the aspiration of the supporters would be met as Hon.Osafo-Maafo is in to win the race. In his elucidation of the Honourable’s track record, Mr. Asante revisited how Hon. Osafo-Maafo was able to lead Ghana to a historic completion point of the HIPC initiative. He took the occasion to remind the supporters on how there was no hope for Ghana’s economy prior to the take over from the NDC but with the visionary qualities of Osafo-Maafo and his realistic approach to economic issues, Ghana’s economy has now registered the most resilience ever in the history of our Country. All the supporters pledged their unflinching support in many ways for Osafo-Maafo’s bit to become the next president of Ghana .

Mr. Richmond Cann, the coordinator for Bolingbrook, a suburb of Chicago, who led the entire team to Bolingbrook, re-affirmed Honourable Osafo-Maafo’s commitment to making Ghana the best country in the whole of Africa .
