New York: Ghanaians Set To Demonstrate Against Mahama

With a permit received, plans are far advanced for the long – awaited demonstration by Ghanaians living in the U.S. to vent their spleen over the level of corruption that has been deviled the current NDC administration headed by President John Mahama, at the detriment of the nation’s developmental agenda. The Woyomegate, CPgate, Rockshellgate, Amajarogate are few of the corrupt scandals to mention.
As Ghanaians go to the polls on December 7th, also on the minds of these demonstrators are the untimely creation of the 45 new constituencies, and President Mahama’s acedia on the exposed Yaw Boateng Gyan’s “secret tape” - which he has owned up. These inactions may precipitate chaos in the December elections.
Therefore, demonstrators will be demanding the President to act on these current unacceptable practices hunting the nation, to signal his commitment to peace and stability of the nation before, during, and after the December 7th elections.
This gargantuan demonstration will be held on Thursday, 27th September, 2012.
