NPP UK condemns and distances itself from Georgette Djaba’s comments

Our attention has been drawn to a series of interviews granted to some radio stations here in the UK by Ms Georgette Dede Djaba in which she makes disparaging and unfortunate remarks about our party leader and Presidential Candidate Nana Akufo-Addo.

The comments about Nana Akufo-Addo are false, malicious and have no place in our party. They do not represent the views of the UK Executives or the branch party here in the United Kingdom. We condemn these comments unreservedly.

All members must be aware that our Party’s constitution enjoins us to promote a good image of the party at all times. These acts of smearing, character assassination, rumor mongering and fabrications will not be allowed to gain root in the branch party here in the UK.

We call on all members to exercise restraint while the matter is investigated, and the necessary corrective action taken.

Our internal elections are over, and we have elected our Presidential Candidate, Nana Akufo - Addo to lead us to win the next election in 2016. We must rally round Nana Addo, campaign intensively and work very hard to ensure he becomes the President of Ghana in 2016.
