NDC UK/IRELAND SHOCKED WITH NEWS FIRE IN RAWLINGS’ HOME

London, United Kingdom – The leadership and entire membership of NDC
UK/Ireland Branch received with shock the unfortunate incident of fire gutting the
home of our Former President Rawlings. At this stage we wish to express our
heartiest sympathy to the Former first family. We are most thankful to God that
despite the extensive nature of the devastation, there were no casualties reported.
At this stage, we believe the government and the people of Ghana would give the
former first family all the necessary support to come to terms with this horrific
incident, we believe a suitable alternative accommodation would be arranged for the
former president and his family in the shortest possible time.
We also wish to use this opportunity to urge the public and media to respect the
privacy of the former first family .We must all exercise a lot of restraint with our
comments and reportage of the incident whiles investigations are carried out to
establish the true cause of the fire.
God Bless Us All
