NDC – Massachusetts Congratulates Mills

The membership of NDC - Massachusetts and the entire Ghanaian Community in Massachusetts, USA wish to congratulate President-elect, Professor John Evans Atta Mills for being elected as the sixth democratically elected President of the republic of Ghana, and the third President under the 1992 forth republican constitution of Ghana after winning the December 28, presidential election run-off. May this day and season bring to you our special gift of goodwill, cheers and success in all your endeavors.

As citizens of a country for which you are the next President, we wish to pledge our unflinching support to you and your government, and emphasize that we remain resolute and unshakable in our belief and conviction that the interest of the good people of Ghana, and the overall interest of our sub-region will be better served under your presidency. May the good Lord keep and guide you as you lift high, his banner, not only as the leader of our motherland Ghana, but the entire continent of Africa. We believe that, by virtue of your professional and academic competence, executive experience, coupled with personal exemplary life record, you will have the moral courage to instill disciple into the Ghanaian body politics, and restore dignity back to the presidency.

Like a light in the distance, you personify a beaming hope and purposefulness in the horizon. Your treasured values of humility, gentleness, and desire for the well being of all Ghanaians, and your passion for a stable, peaceful, and a united Ghana which has brought you this victory, will continue to brighten your path from this time and beyond.

We also wish to congratulate the people of Ghana for the peaceful and matured manner in which they exercised their franchise. Even though the processes were seemingly laborious, tensed, and at times fragile, your desire to separate truth from falsehood, and your tolerance in the midst of extreme provocations have once again proved that Ghana is the beacon of hope for democratic dispensation in Africa and the rest of the world.

And to the teaming members of the AKATAMANSO family, supporters, and friends, we say congratulations for well deserved electoral victories. However, we implore you to exhibit moderation in your celebrations and remember that the greatest victory has been won by all Ghanaians. After all, President Atta Mills is, and will remain the President of all Ghanaians regardless of their political colorations. Finally to all peace loving people of Ghana, we want you to know that, you are highly respected and loved by us. Be assured that with your prayers, support, and hard work, the government of President John Evans Atta-Mills will make Ghana a better place to live. Thank you.
