The CEO of Regalon Property Consultants Mr. Samuel Antwi on Saturday officially welcomed Her Excellency Dr. (Mrs.) Grace Amponsah, Ghana's Ambassador to the Netherlands to open the second city of the European housing exhibition tour of the Ghana Real Estate Developers Association, (GREDA) dubbed Ghana@50 Housing Exhibition. In his speech to welcome the ambassador, Samuel Antwi thanked her Excellency for honoring the invitation.

Cutting the tape for the official opening of the exhibition, her Excellency emphasised Ghana Government's determination to make housing affordable and a priority for the sitting Government to increase the inflow of direct investment into the country for development. She recommended GREDA's vision of helping every Ghanaian in the Diaspora to own a house back home.

The President of the Ghana Real Estate Developers Association (GREDA) Dr. Alex Tweneboah reiterated that, GREDA is ripe and ready to assist in the housing policies under the Ghana Government Housing schemes. He made this remark at the Augustinus College in the heart of Bijlmerneer, which has the largest concentration of Ghanaians in the Netherlands . This was after an equally successful exhibition at the Royal National Hotel in Russell Square , London .

Mrs. Bennie Brown Nuamah, Secretary of GREDA, showed the group's appreciation on behalf of the association for her opening of the exhibition in Amsterdam . The members were highly moved by her kind gesture and for supporting the association when she was called upon.

The Group's determination to capture the European market is seen to be bearing fruits. Londoners visited in their numbers and the evening saw a high number of people registering at the desk of the HFC Bank. This signified their interest in long-term loans for securing properties back home. In Amsterdam , a similar attendance was recorded at the Augustinus College , where the exhibition was held.

The Association ended the tour with visits to some of Amsterdam's developing sites to learn about how their compatriots have used technology in claiming land for housing development.
