Ghanaians in Chicago Ready for World Cup Game.

The Palace gate restaurant, 4548 N. Magnolia, at the corner of Magnolia and Wilson Avenue, two blocks from Harry Truman College in Chicago, is hosting Ghanaians and friends of Ghana interested in watching the epic final group world cup match between Ghana and the United States on Thursday June 20 2006. The match takes off at 9:00 A.M Chicago time on ESPN and Univision.

Speaking with Nana Kwasi, owner and director of Palace Gate, Ghana Home Page learnt Chicago tribune and other news media are trooping to the small Ghanaian restaurant to cover supporters of the Ghanaian team.

In another development, the Ghana National Council of Metropolitan Chicago, GNC, has sent a congratulatory message to the Black Stars for winning their match against the Czech Republic. In a statement to Ghana Home Page , an official of the Council, Dr. Mark Kutame stated that " Ghanaians and the whole Black race are proud because of the spectacular achievements by the Stars so far. The win against the number 2 rated Czech team should galvanize our boys to win their next match against the United States on Thursday", he concluded.
