Ghanaian professionals in US to assist youth

In a rare display of commitment to the over all development of the youth of Ghana and ultimately the nation as a whole, young professionals of Ghanaian descent residing in the U.S and Canada have joined forces under the banner of the Ghana Youth Council to assist Ghana's youth.

Envisioned to be one of the most diverse and powerful group of Ghanaians ever, the Ghana Youth Council derives membership from the entire cross-section of the various religious, ethnic, political and socio-economic spectrum of Ghanaian youth and young professionals living in the U.S and Canada .

As a nonpartisan, independent membership organization, Ghana Youth Council is committed to equipping the youth to achieve their potential and encourage them to unite to transform Ghana into a peaceful, prosperous and stable democratic nation with global significance. With the proper grooming, todayʼs youth will successfully assume their rightful responsibilities in shaping the social, economic, and political destiny of the country to assure Ghana ʼs place as a global icon within the community of nations. To this end Ghana Youth Council will extend the necessary support to its members, the youth and young professionals to meaningfully engage in the social, cultural, educational and economic development of themselves and Ghana by extension.

The council would be the focal point for the exchange of ideas, expertise, experiences and interaction among members, government officials, policy makers, international leaders in business and academia. Specific programs including direct charitable activities, counseling, immigration and legal services, career guidance and job training among several others would be offered.
