'Ghanaian' Terrorist is Son of Deputy IGP?

Manfo Kweku Asiedu, the "Ghanaian" suspect named in July 21st London attacks, may be the son of Ghana?s Deputy Inspector General of Police in charge of Operations, Dr. K. K. Manfo.

He is however a British citizen and there is no indication he has applied and obtained dual-nationality.

The Ghana High Commission in London carried out the investigations on his background.

Manfo has been charged in relation to an unexploded device which was found two days after the botched attacks and has also been remanded in custody until mid-November.

According to Radio Gold & JoyOnline, the 32-year-old, was sent to the UK when his father, Dr. Manfo was serving at the Ghana High Commission.

He stayed on, when his dad returned to Ghana and has since acquired British citizenship.

Dr. Manfo has confirmed to a local radio station -JoyFM - that that he has a son in London called Kwaku Asiedu Manfo, but says he is yet to confirm if he is the one arrested in connection with London blasts or if it?s a case of mistaken identity.
