GhanaFest is Today!

... Ghana's Biggest Diaspora Festival

Chicago (IL), July 29, GHP -- Over 10,000 people are expected to converge on Washington Park (5600 South Russell Drive) to participate and spectate the 24th annual GhanaFest.

GhanaFest is the largest Ghanaian cultural festival, outside Ghana, filled with Ghanaian themed events, live music, parties, performances, tempting Ghanaian cuisine and culminates with a parade of the various ethnic groupings and several costumed participants.

The festival, which is rganized by the Ghana National Council of Metropolitan Chicago, is held each summer in the city of Chicago, Illinois, USA and draws thousands of tourists from around the globe.

Dignitaries expected at this year's event are the Governor of Illinois, Patt Quinn, United States Congressman Bobby Rush, Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle, head of Trade and Investment at the Ghana Embassy in Washington D.C, Ebenezer Adjirackor.

Nana Boroo will provide live music.
