First Protest Against Delta

Friday May 22nd Is The First Protest Against Delta ---Come Out To Support

Fellow Travelers to Ghana:

You are no doubt aware that Delta Airlines has been fleecing travelers to Ghana with our eyes wide open when it comes to their exorbitant charges for excess baggage. Many of you have gone to the airport and without any forewarning, been commanded by Delta to pay $200 for your first excess baggage, $350 for the second, $350 for the third and $600 for the fourth. Starting July 1, 2009, your second free bag will attract an additional cost of $50, making it only one free bag per passenger. The Concerned Citizens of Ghana have engaged Delta on numerous occasions to demand a roll back of these charges only to be given the cold shoulder. The time has come for our community to arise and shout into Delta’s ears: “ENOUGH AND WE ARE NOT GOING TO TAKE THIS ANY MORE!”

All the necessary permits have been obtained. Simply read this notice and share with your friends. Then you and your colleagues should come down to Delta’s office on Friday May 22, 2009 at 3:00pm to join the protest. Free T-Shirts will be distributed to participants. The more we are, the faster they will take us seriously and give us relief. We are not demanding free excess baggage – just fairness and an end to open thievery.

Where? Come to 140 East 45th Street between Lexington and 3rd Avenue in Manhattan, NY. The numbers 4, 5 and 6 trains stopping at Grand Central will get you there. More demonstrations are planned at JFK Airport in June and July and more will be planned until we get redress.

COME OUT, DON’T BE PASSIVE. UNITED WITH ONE VOICE, WE SAY NO TO DELTA AND WE SHALL WIN!
