Chicagoans celebrate XMAS.

Chicago, December 27 2004 ? Chicagoans like many celebrants of Christmas across the globe, marked the yuletide with parties, gigs and picnics. Although the weather was exceptionally cold, Ghanaweb visited a few spots around ten pm on Saturday, mostly at people?s houses, basements and clubs.

At Bolingbrook, Ghanaweb bumped into NPP and NDC supporters. Celebarting Christmas the first time after winning the recent presidential and majority in the parliamentary elections, the NPP supporters where openly seen teasing their NDC friends.

The consensus of both NPP and NDC supporters was that Ghana needs the multi-party system to be able to stand the test of democracy.

At Matteson, Illinois, Ghanaweb came across the newly crowned Miss Ghanaweb Chicago 2004 and his family and friends at a very cheerful party. The new ?queen? was mobbed by her peers and when she took to the floor on a few occasions, she was a delight to watch.

The hosts, Mr. and Mrs. Nartey had more than enough food and drinks for their guests! Music was provided by Isaac Bempong, radio 88.5 FM D.J.
