CPP-USA organizing one-day symposium

The CPP-USA is organizing a one-day symposium on Saturday, November 10th 2007. The event is being held to address various issues which are pertinent to the re-emergence of the CPP.

The theme of the symposium is :?The CPP: National, Continental and Global Challenges.? It will be chaired by Dr. S.O. Asante, interim Chairman of the CPP-USA.

The party is aware that they have not held power for the past forty-one years, and are determined to organize themselves as well as the Ghanaian populace many of whom are too young to remember what the CPP's government was like, let alone its ideas and aspirations for the country.

The November 10th symposium will feature renowned Ghanaian economist and professor of Economics, Professor Tete Kofi of the University of San Francisco, Mr. Ade Sawyerr, a management consultant, the Reverend Dr. Kumi Dwamena,

Ms. Ama Ohene a lecturer, evangelist and political activist, and a number of other CPP stalwarts.

The symposium will also address how best to participate in the building of the CPP in Ghana and how to encourage and embolden the flag-bearers of the party towards victorious elections in 2008.

Papers presented at the symposium will be serialized on the web and in local newspapers.
