CPP North America Congratulates Aggudey

The newly formed CPP - North America Branch hereby congratulates Mr. George Opersika Aggudey, on his election as the Party's Presidential Candidate.

The North America Branch also congratulates the newly elected CPP Executives.

The Branch wishes the Party's leadership the Best of Luck in the 2004 elections and beyond.

History is on the side of the Convention People's Party (CPP) - as a "Winning Party".

The CPP-North America Branch urges the Convention People's Party (CPP) to embrace a "Centrist Platform" (without compromising) on its noble crusade to protect and defend the Dignity and Sovereignty of Ghana, and Africa in general and moreover, (without compromising) on its moral mission to champion for a United Africa.

In addition, the CPP North America Branch urges the Party to aggressively promote the Noble principles of Multi-Party Democracy, Freedom, Liberty, Civil Rights and Human Rights.

The Branch supports the decision of the Convention People's Party (CPP) to run on its own merit.

However, the CPP- North America Branch will support an [Alliance of CPP / NPP ] anytime such an alliance becomes necessary [to prevent the return of Ghana's traumatic past and to protect and preserve the Country's democracy].

Even if both Parties,- CPP and NPP run on their own separate tickets, a "Contingency CPP/NPP Alliance Fund" should be established in case such an alliance becomes necessary in the future[ to prevent the return of the Country's painful past].

In the absence of any threat to Ghana's Democratic process, then the CPP should run on its own merit and reclaim its historical legacy as an undisputable "Winning Party" in the history of Ghana's elections.

In another development, CPP North-America Branch announces that former Chief Whip during the administration of Ghana's former President, Dr. Hilla Limann, - Dr. George Agbango, Ph.D. is its interim Organizing Chairman until elections take place.

Dr. George Agbango is currently a Professor of Politics and Public Administration, Department of Political Science, Bloomsburg University in Pennsylvania.

The CPP North America Branch will soon present its interim Executives in USA and Canada.

CPP North America Branch plans to hold a "Worldwide CPP Alliance Conferences" in the West Coast and East Coast of America as well as in Canada early 2004.

CPP Members and "Friends of CPP" or "Friends of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Foundation" are urged to sign up to participate in the anticipated CPP Conventions.
