Asanteman in UK presents items to KATH

Kumasi, Jan 21, GNA- Asanteman UK, a charitable organisation of Asantes resident in London, on Tuesday presented items worth about 1,200 pounds sterling to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) in Kumasi.

The items included 50 bed sheets, 50 pillowcases, 12 blankets, children's books and toys.

Obaapanin Yaa Agyemang who presented the items said the group is made up of people who come together annually to raise funds to support institutions in Ghana.

She said Asanteman UK would adopt the children's ward of the hospital so that future donations would be expended at the ward. Madam Margaret Boafo Atiemo, Director of Nursing Services at KATH who received the items, expressed appreciation to Asanteman UK for the donation.
