Cricket team presents trophy to Minister

Ghana Cricket team has presented its golden trophy won at the just ended Division 2 T20 Africa Division 2 Championship in South Africa, to the Minister of Youth and Sports.

Vice President of Ghana Cricket Association, Emmanuel Asare said, “It was by dint of hard work and determination that the team won this award. Though it supported well in terms of finance as compared to the Black Stars, they were able to chalk this success”.

The Minister of Youth and Sports, Mahama Ayariga who was elated by the success congratulated the team and assured the association of the development of the sport in Ghana.

“There are talents in the country and what is needed now is adequate infrastructure and resources to nurture individuals with the talent and exploit the full potential of the discipline”

The Minister urged the various associations to come out with an annual budget plan to enable his outfit to allocate funds to develop the disciplines.
