Why would the governtment fund such a scheme for private use? Why cant they use govermnment institutions and schools for pilot projects?
Solar power is a clean and laudable idea but expensive.

The information is in the public domain. Energy Commission has done several radio programs. Just Google Energy Commission and go to the rooftop solar application form and apply and stop the negativity.

We have money to buy our own solar systems just make it izy for us to bring it into the country. Charging Vat and NHIL on the MSRP kills the interest people have to help fix the power crisis we face in the country... I'm so bitter cos i've had to pay in excess of GHc20,000 for a 10kw solar system.... tell me my NDC friends if this is progress.

Let me give some advice from one who has already gotten a SunPower 20 year lease. It will save money on your electric bill but you will have a harder time selling your home if you ever need too. If there are pigeons anywhere, they will find your house and build nests under the panels and their poop will fall everywhere around your home.It will stink and draw lots of flies. Your solar company will not allow anyone near their panels to correct the situation unless they refer them to you. Then it will be up to you to spend a small fortune and assume all liability for someone falling off your roof and getting sued. I have 28 panels which has drawn a hundred pigeons and my place is a mess.
