ARK Consortium holds “Career Preparation & Advancement Workshop”

ARK Consortium, a group of firms with common interest in Human Resource Management, Job Recruitment and Training in Ghana on Saturday April 12, 2014 held its 1st ever “Career Preparation & Advancement Workshop” in Accra.

The workshop which began with meet and greet session was facilitated by Yasmin Boama, Genevieve Puni, and Rita Kusi.

After the welcome session, there was PowerPoint presentation on Curriculum Vitae (CV) building and interview preparation. Participants also had the chance to share their knowledge and expertise in group discussions.

Participants of the workshop gained insight on the general public’s perception regarding career development and its impact on employment.

There were other HR Professionals from Tecno Ghana, MTG Africa, Star Assurance, Unilever, Travel Bureau to share their expertise and also participated in a mock interview session at the end of the workshop.

“I have achieved my ambition of becoming a locally relevant and internationally competitive professional that I have always aimed at.

The HR Practitioners were very professional and also approachable. Their relation to participants was really ahead of quality, especially the patience at which they had to dissect questions that were asked,” Ezekiel Antwi-Kusi, a participant said.

All participants of this years’ workshop have been asked to submit revised copies of their Curriculum Vitae for an opportunity to be selected for an internship programme at Tecno Ghana, Travel Bureau, and Citi 97.3 FM all in Accra.
