GREDA /Works And Housing Ministry Must Smoke Peace Pipe

The recent development between the Ghana Real Estate Association (GREDA) and the Ministry of Works and Housing over the disappointment of GREDA on government continuously relegating them to core, despite many overtures to discuss affordable housing in Ghana has created a lot more heated debate than resolving differences.
We at Property Express, organizers of the annual Ghana Property Awards, wish to call on both parties to hold discussion in effort to resolve their differences.

Though the Ghana Real Estate Developers Association has expressed antagonism for government decision to award South African Construction firm GUMA, we believe that the government should also pay attention to the local constructors.
We would also describe as regrettable comments by the Works and Housing Minister ET Mensah, who accused them of lying and dabbling in petty politics.
In a democratic dispensation, everyone including groups and association decision must be treated fairly without intimidations.
We expect the government and GREDA to sit down and amicable resolve their differences on provision of affordable houses and effort to boost the Real Estate in Ghana.
