Ho welcomes Broadband Services

Ho, July 17, GNA- Mr. Joseph Kweku Nayan, Deputy Volta Regional Minister on Tuesday lauded the efforts of Ghana Telecom for introducing broadband services to the Volta Region which, he noted, would contribute to the Region's socio-economic development.

The Minister, who launched the facility at Ho on Tuesday said the facility would facilitate easy Internet access in schools, organizations and individuals in the region.

Mr. Nayan said the government has initiated plans for the civil service to apply the use of the ICT for the accelerated development of the country.

Mr Evans Amuzu, the Volta Regional Manager of Telecom said the product is part of GT's vision to bring internet services to schools, churches and communities in the region to enable them to have access to wide range of resources that could have positive impact on their lives. He said the service would also enable customers to access information that one would need for seminar presentations, assignments, market trends and general information with its fast and widest coverage.
