Pre-Easter Grand Sales

Ghana's most popular bazaar dubbed Grand Sales once again comes on at the Ghana International Trade Fair Centre, La, Accra from February 27 to March 9, 2003. Being the most popular and well patronised bazaar after the International Fair in the country, the Grand Sales series are aimed mainly at boosting internal trade and exportable items by providing a forum for economic operators and the consuming public to meet and transact business.

The Grand Sales idea was initially introduced by the Ghana Trade Fair Co. Ltd. into the National Calendar of Trade Fair and Exhibitions in Ghana in 1991. This Pre-Easter Grand Sales will therefore serve as a platform for industrial and commercial operators to offload their locked up stocks after the Christmas and restock them for Easter holidays. This general fair or bazaar is an attempt by the company to provide a single platform for buyers and sellers to interact.

ASSISTANCE

Grand Sales has assisted many commercial and industrial operators to introduce new products and help create awareness for less known products and services. It is against this background that visitors at this Pre-Easter Grand Sales will avail themselves of the opportunity to see products on display and buy them. Grand Sales are also designed to create a platform for locally manufactured products to compete with the variety of foreign products to be exhibited.

As Easter is fast approaching, members of the general public are planning either to buy some products or have a good look to the latest designs so that they can plan their buying. With the dynamics of life, fresh ideas, new designs and equipment are coming out all the time, it is therefore necessary that bazaars such as the Grand Sales are held quite often to exhibit the latest designs for people's appreciation.

COMPETITION

Grand Sales has developed the existing domestic markets for a wide range of goods and services. It has also introduced competition in the market and above all contributed to the growth of commerce. This Pre-Easter Grand Sales will mean even more than the foregoing because exhibitors should look forward to meeting new customers, maintain relations with the existing ones and selling profitably, whilst visitors also look forward to buying at bargain prices.

Grand Sales have contributed to the growth and expansion of many businesses. It has also played a positive role in the distribution of income in the general economic system. In addition to the above, participants at this Pre-Easter Grand Sales numbering about four hundred are going to be exposed to various marketing, packaging, and labelling techniques, since Grand Sales in general have exposed participants/exhibitors to marketing techniques. There is no doubt therefore that the quality of products which are going to be put into the market would be improved tremendously as a result of these Grand Sales programmes.
