The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), Alhassan S. Tampuli, has advised owners of fuel stations and drivers to desist from using adulterated petroleum products to avoid accidents.

In an interview with Ekourba Gyasi on Atinka AM Drive Monday, Mr. Tampuli stated people who sell these petroleum products on table tops across the country contribute to the canker hence the NPA’s decision to fish them out.

He explained that people mix petrol with premix fuel as well as other aviation fuels to cut cost.

According to Alhassan Tampuli, most vehicles on the Ghanaian markets are specifically designed for petrol and not any other fuel and so using adulterated fuel posses a great danger to the vehicle engine, which can lead to accidents.
