International Building Construction and Property Exhibition opens on

Thursday

Accra, Sept. 12, GNA - The ninth International Building Construction and Property Exhibition opens in Accra on Thursday, September 15 to showcase the various products, services and technology in the building and property industry.

The four-day event to be organized by Image Consortium, also seeks to offer best deals that people can find in the industry.

The annual Building Construction and Property Exhibition serves as a one-stop shop for products and services and also provides a platform to discuss pertinent issues affecting the industry, as well as provide professional solutions to solve them.

This is done through various seminars and workshops held alongside the exhibitions. The theme for this year is: 93A passion for excellence let's build together".

Speaking ahead of the fair, the Executive Director of Image Consortium, Marilyn Efua Houdjeto said the building and construction industry was faced with environmental challenges and the lack of adherence to laid down plan.

"Because we fail to effectively and efficiently plan the general layout of our cities, towns, and villages, they have over the years become nothing to write home about".

She explained, 93We have blatantly refused to take into ample consideration the growing size of the population, the choice of new and improved materials for construction, the change in our atmosphere, specifically climate change, and most importantly waste disposal".

These concerns, she said, would be discussed during the exhibition and invited the public to come and be informed to enable them to do the right thing.

The exhibition would be showcasing everything that has to do with Building and Construction, Interior D=E9cor, Furniture, as well as Security Systems.

Exhibitors would come from Ghana and other parts of the world including Egypt, Italy, Germany, Dubai, France and the United Kingdom.

There would be two business conferences with one starting in the afternoon of the opening day and the second on Friday the 16th of September.

Another feature of the exhibition would be the Strategic Clinic revamped to deal with pertinent questions in the industry such as health and safety in construction, business opportunities in construction, mortgage and facility management scheduled for Saturday.
