GSE ends nearly flat in another poor performance

Accra, March 11, GNA - The main index of the Ghana Stock Exchange ended trading on Friday nearly flat as the lacklustre performance of the Accra bourse continued with heavy bearish sentiments.

The Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) All-Share Index, the main stock index, closed 0.01 points better after a series of losses and a nil change at the last trading on Wednesday.

The index closed at 6,642.05 points while change for the year remained at - 2.30 per cent There was only one price change, a one-cedi gain by Aluworks at 6,001 cedis.

Shares traded jumped to 728,900 from Wednesday's 40,300. Market capitalization was up slightly at 97,188.64 billion cedis from 97,188.60 billion cedis.
