GSE Index slips

Accra, Jan. 10, GNA - The GSE All-Share Index, the main gauge of performance on the Accra bourse, fell 5.51 points pulled down by a 200 cedi loss by Guinness Ghana Brewery Limited (GGBL).

Consequently, the index closed lower at 5,001.15 points down from 5,006.66 points at the previous close on Wednesday. Traded volumes were, however, up at 138,800 shares from a low of 12,200 shares.

Change year to date stands at -0.10 per cent. On the broader market, there were three price changes 96 two positive and a negative.

Enterprise Insurance Company gained two cedis at 8,820 cedis and FanMilk was up by one cedi at 18,011 cedis. The only loser was GGBL, which lost 200 cedis to end the session at 9,000 cedis. Market capitalization ended the session lower at 112,466.95 billion cedis from 112,499.81 billion cedis at the previous session.
