First Gold Poured at Konongo

Owere Mines Limited has poured the first gold bar from its Konongo Gold Project, located in the Ashanti Region, following the refurbishment of the processing plant and the re-commencing of mining.

The first bars were poured as part of commissioning the elution circuit and gold room, representing the final area of the processing plant to be brought back into production to achieve continuous commercial production. “This is an important milestone in operation. The Managing Director, Mr. Bill Oliver said the focus is now on ramping up the Company’s efforts to maximize the potential contained within the Konongo Gold Project.

The Directors of Owere Mines would like to thank its staff and management onsite in Konongo for their hard work bringing the Project back into production as well as recognize the input and support of the Government of Ghana and the local communities.”
