CAL Bank rise continues to push market index up

Accra, March 30, GNA - The share price of CAL Bank registered another gain on Thursday to push the All-Share Index up by 1.16 points. The market index closed the day's trading up at 4,763.48 points from 4,762.34 points backed by the continued recovery of CAL stocks. Volume of shares, however, remained almost flat at 37,200 from Wednesday's close of 37,600.

The change in the year to date was -0.12 per cent with market capitalisation moving up to 91,933.80 billion cedis from 91,930.77 billion cedis.

On the broader market, there were two price changes - one positive and one negative.

CAL Bank gained 20 cedis at 1,920 cedis while British-American Tobacco (BAT) lost one cedi at 3,048 cedis.
