All set for Ghana Property Awards today

The Ghanaian economy is characterized by a stable political climate, outstanding growth performance and effective macroeconomic policies. In the light of this, the real estate industry has chalked success in contributing to the growth and development of infrastructure in the country. In this regard, the Ghana Property Awards is organized yearly to recognize various companies, personalities and stakeholders in the real estate industry for their immense contributions, which acts as a catalyst to the development of the industry in Ghana.

This year’s awards is slated for Saturday 8th November, 2014 at the Banquet Hall of the State House, Accra at 7pm. The awards has grown to become the biggest industry awards scheme and the measuring rod for the success of stakeholders in the real estate industry. Organized by Property Express Group Ltd in collaboration with the Ghana Real Estate Developers Association (GREDA), Ministry Of Water Resources, Works & Housing and other stakeholders, the Awards was set up to encourage competition and competitive pricing in the Property & Construction Industry. The Awards categorization is carefully designed to recognize the efforts of both established and up and emerging firms.

In addition to Awarding the Property Industry, the Ghana Property Awards also serves as a convergence platform for the Industry. The Awards recognizes, appreciates and awards the hardworking, excellent and innovative Firms and Personalities in the Real Estate Sector. The Awards also serves as a platform for the Property Sector especially GREDA to address some concerns and channel its grievances and petitions to the Ministry of Housing. It also serves as a platform for the government to engage with the Developers in the real estate industry.

Over the years, the awards scheme has sought to standardize practices in the Real Estate Sector by setting benchmarks, which submitted projects must adhere to. It has also sought to promote innovation, insurance and maintenance culture in the Sector by emphasizing its importance in the selection processes.

The awards scheme will also be looking at new market development with the aim to support the promotion of wholesale and retail market operations, allowing for better recognition of their vital role, support and contribution to national, regional and global demand for property and its related services as the Ghana government seek to accelerate infrastructure development in Ghana. The theme for the 2014 awards is "Sustaining Infrastructure funding through private - public equity partnership in meeting Ghana's service demand".

Past Winners of the Awards have been from diverse Firms within the Property and Construction Sector including Mortgage Firms, Paint Firms, Residential Developers, Commercial Developers, Property Brokers, Estate Agents, Input Suppliers, Retail Developments, Facility Managers, Architectural Firms, Landscapers, etc.

This year’s awards scheme promises to be sensational, and the media would be there to take coverage of the event, just as they always do. Come and socialize, eat, dance and have a good time!
