Denkyem begins basketball project for students

Denkyem Sports Academy a subsidiary of Denkyem Charitable Organization, has begun recruitment for student Basket ball players to enable them develop their talent by joining the academy, and to assist those who desire to pursue courses in colleges in the United States of America, on scholarship.
Workshops are being organized in some towns like Tema , Kumasi and Cape coast to fish out these talents to boost the sport in Ghana. Other towns are being targeted, so no youth will be left out of this project.

“Denkyem” is noted for its involvement in sports particularly soccer, athletics, and lately basketball, and has been a source of hope for the youth especially those in and around Tema, since it is based in the harbor city.

The organization donates sports items to schools eg. Soccer boots, jerseys, hoses, soccer balls, basket balls etc. , and also organizes soccer, athletics, basketball tournaments for the communities to keep the youth off the streets, thereby preventing them from indulging in social vices like armed robbery, drug addiction, prostitution etc.

They also provide financial support for some selected schools, as well as coaching personnel to assist them for free.

The organization in Ghana is sponsored by Give2Ghana.org, and Denkyem sports Academy in the U.S.A, who donate the various items which are distributed to beneficiaries.
