WBC considers stripping Ike Quartey of title.

Ike Bazooka Quartey the World Boxing Authorities welterweight stands the risk of losing his title. The World Boxing Authority is considering stripping him of his tittle because he failed to defend it against the Russian Challenger Andrei Pestreya last Saturday.

The fight did not come off because disagreements between Ike Quarteys camp and the French promoters, A. B. All stars. The WBA says it failed to reach an agreement yesterday because of issues like bout agreements and purse bids, which they are looking at. They are expected to reach a decision by Saturday and it does not look good for Ike Quartey.
