Fusion honours Stars

The crew of Fusion, one of Ghana’s fastest growing entertainment TV magazine programmes, last Saturday gathered a number of showbiz stars at the Koreana Hotel in Tema in recognition of their contributions toward entertainment in Ghana.

The event, which would be telecast as a segment of Fusion, attracted popular faces such as hip life duo 5Five, Chemphe, Ex-Doe, and their managements as well as some family of the Abodam Squad.

The rest were CITI Fm’s Jimmy Quist, Gospel songstress Christina Love and her spouse among others.

All the stars were given kingly rides in a limousine through some principal streets of Tema while they chitchat, drank and enjoyed themselves with some blistering sounds.

Some of them were also presented with souvenirs, alongside other rewards to viewers of Fusion.

Abeiku Santana told BEATWAVES in an interview that the idea of the Limousine ride was “basically to honour our artistes. We don’t have to wait for them to die or get struck by a tragedy before we honour them.

The limousine ride is something that befits their status as stars.”

According to him, luxurious cars like limousine are only used by international stars when they are invited into this country.

“It is wrong, we must also try and give our stars the same recognition.”
