Asana And Fusena Launch 'Small Girl'

TWIN Sisters Asana and Fusena Haruna recently launched their second album ?Small Girl? at the Golden Tulip in Accra.

The ceremony attracted a large gathering, mostly from the showbiz industry.

The twin sisters, joined by a 20-year-old student of the Institute of Professional Studies (Sandra) thrilled the audience to various performances from their latest songs.

Asana and Fusena, who are students at the Opportunities Industrialization Centre, together with Sandra, the latest entrant composed the songs to reconcile society.

Their songs transcend many Ghanaian languages and ethnic groups, as a way of unifying the country.

Launching the album, the Public Relations Officer of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), Mr. Clement Ablorh, urged musicians to uphold the ethics of the music industry by ensuring that clean lyrics are used in their music.

He said profane words used in music tend to corrupt the moral uprightness of society.

Mr. Ablorh emphasized the need for musicians and other stakeholders in the music and film industry to join in the fight against piracy.

He said MUSIGA was committed to making the lives of musicians and others in the arts a better one.

The chairman for the occasion, Dr. Ahmed Mustapha, Member of Parliament for Ayawaso East, the constituency of the twins, congratulated them on coming out with the album which he described as largely African.

He urged musicians in his constituency to use their works to portray the positive aspects of the community.

Dr. Mustapha assured them of his support as they embark on their mission. He said with the necessary support and encouragement from the public, the musicians will go places.

The ceremony was spiced with performances from other members of the Ghana Twins Foundation.
