Nketsiah Sings For Street Kids

Noble Nketsia A couple of weeks ago, gospel musician Noble Nketsiah launched his social responsibility campaign to support street children dubbed ?Thousand Kids-Off-The-Streets Project?.

The project seeks to help raise significant amounts of money through eight major concerts to support five selected Orphanages and Children?s home who have pledged to take up a considerable number of street children across the country.

To go with this project, Nketsiah recorded a theme song ?Mofra Yi? to send his message across. In ?Mofra Yi?, he expresses concern about street children saying it hurts him to see these children on the streets considering that they are our future leaders. Noble believes that whatever the situation children should be well catered for and not left on the streets.

?Mofra Yi?, a very solemn song with very deep lyrics that touches the listener instantly did not come alone but as one of the songs that make up the third album of the artistes, which he calls ?M?Vision?.

Noble moves from the rather solemn mood that ?Mofra Yi? comes in to a very danceable praise song ?Momra Metie? in which he calls on all to listen to his wonderful story. In this story he says he has met a wonderful man called his burdens away, he goes on to say he doesn?t know what he would have done without Jesus.

It is obvious that the young man is talented and one cannot help but commend him for his choice of lyrics which are very inspiring. When Noble sets out to praise his maker in a song, he does so in such a manner that one sings along before realizing it.

This is exactly what happens with a song he calls ?Mete Ase Yi?, another very solemn song he uses to praise and honour God for all the good things he has done for him, ?Once I live, Father, I live for you and I will praise you for many are the things you have done for me and I really appreciate them?.

Noble sings that his hope is the Lord who protects him all the time for which reason he fears nothing. These are the lyrics in ?Mensuro?.

For all those waiting on the Lord, Noble assures them to keep praying and that the appointed time will surely come in ?Merepa Be Ba?. In short, God will grant all our requests in good time so we should keep praying and wait patiently on him.

?Anwanwasem? and the instrumentals of ?Merepa Be Ba? follow to end the songs on the promotional CD.

Not a bad attempt from the young man who is exhibiting consistency with a third outing and obviously maturing with time though it took quite a while to come out with this one after his second album.

Noble Nketsiah is currently signed on both Family Tree Entertainment and Wayoosi Music labels. His debut was ?Yesu Do?, released in 2001 followed by ?Gye Me? in 2002.
