Tinny Presents ?Kankpe Records?

Kankpe Records Yes, you heard me right, Tinny, New Artiste of the Year 2004, is introducing his own formed group by name ?Kankpe Records? to the hiplife game. ?We?ve got the beats, rap flow, stage performance, and everything about hiplife music??, Tinny, Okra, Black Sam, Motia, Olanka and Scizo said to me.

It seems that hiplife has reached a crossroad, but a few artistes have found new ways to reinvent it. Tinny is one of such artist who has made a good choice of been a hiplife artiste and also helping the up and coming artises. Surfers you need to open your eyes, ears and minds and welcome these artistes who are set to change the game.

Speaking to the Kanpke Records at Warehouse Nyte Klub, I asked them what brought about the birth of the group? ?We?ve been friends for a long time and we decided to form the squad. Birds of the same feather flock together, so since we share the same ideas and we're all solo rappers, and also have a lot in common, we thought of coming together?, Okra answered.

In general, the group will be coming out with educative and love songs. They?ve already  started writing their lyrics and will soon be in the studios to start recording their songs which will be released onto the music market very soon with Hammer of the Last Two and KSN behind it.

They will be blending local languages like Ga, Twi and Ewe to show their different and extraordinary rap flows.

Black Sam also had something to add about the group which was unity that had sustain them up till now and that without unity prevailing amongst them they wouldn?t have been close pals.

Even though they are a group, they will be coming out with their individual albums, as Black Sam is already out but Okra and Tinny are yet to drop their new albums this year.

Speaking to the man himself, mic rocker Tinny, We asked him to tell us more about the new group in town. ?Kankpe Records is been handled by my father?s record label called Ricky D Productions. The squad is a serious hiplife rap group which doesn?t smoke and drink alcohol or do bad vices in the society. We want to explode the hiplife industry because our rap flow is A one?.

?I also want use this medium to tell my fans that God willing by September I will be dropping my new album?, Aletse Kankpe (Tinny) added.
