The duo called Wutah

Wutah is undoubtedly one of the hottest groups in Ghana in recent times. Made up of Daniel Morris Nyarko and Frank Osei Afriyie, they were discovered at the maiden edition of the NESCAFE African Revelation, a musical competition to unearth music talents across Africa, in 2004.

The duo has been in existence for the past fourteen (14) years and was known as Ogya (meaning fire in Akan) before it released its debut album.

The debut album – Anamontuo – was released in 2005 and Wutah became a household name in months. Having witnessed rave media reviews as a result of their witty lyrics and incredible voices, the two were nominated in eleven categories during that year’s Ghana Music Awards (the highest nominations ever), which saw them grab two awards, namely Record of the Year and Song of the Year.

Wutah has since performed at almost every social, corporate, national and international event both home and abroad.

After three years, the duo’s second and much anticipated album has just been completed and is ready to hit the market.

Titled ‘Burnin’ Desire’, the 14-track album features music greats like Okyeame Kwame, Kwabena Kwabena, K-Lo, Blu 3 from Uganda, Black Prophet, Tinny, Kwaisey P, Bradez and the acclaimed songstress, Paulina Oduro from England.

Burnin’ Desire is executively produced by music and arts entrepreneur Kofi Okyere Darko (KOD) for BLAQ Kapricorn.
