Soul Clinic Ambassadors Launch Album

Last Friday witnessed the launch of the debut album of the Soul Clinic Ambassadors choir of the Soul Clinic International Church. The launch which was held at the church premises was a short but impressive one with many good performances.

Despite the absence of some of the guest performers, those there made up with their performances. After the Ambassadors opened the show with a good performance, dressed in their smart and colourful outfits, the stage was set for the show to really begin.

Joyful Way Incorporated looking good in their batik attire put up a good performance, singing some of their popular tunes like W?Ahendi, Anwanwa Do, The Lord Is My Shepherd among others which got the sizeable audience singing along with them. They were almost unrecognisable because one could not see the familiar faces among the group, but all the same, they were very good.

Bernice Offei, ever the calm lady and looking smart in her outfit, sang two songs from her new album including the Ga track that is receiving lots of airplay titled Kaa She Gbeye which got most of the audience on their feet dancing their hearts out.

Diana Akiwumi looking resplendent in her gold outfit and matching black and gold headgear and scarf complete with gold slippers, also put up a spirited performance that delighted the audience who were with her all the way. The applause which greeted the mention of her name was an indication of what the audience expected from her.

She did not disappoint them as she sang some of her popular tunes like Prayer Is the Key, the Holy Ghost medley which included Holy Ghost Fire and Ko So Aba.
Her energetic pace was so infectious that she had the audience on their feet.

Then the Ambassadors were officially unveiled. Looking smart in their black and white suits, they came back on stage to sing some songs from their album as well as Shidaa the title track.

Led by no less a person than the Ghana Gospel Music Awards (GGMA), Best Male Voice, Kofi Dua Anto, the Ambassadors were a delight to watch. Exhibiting great voices and dance movements, they gave a good account of themselves with their performance.

After the CDs and cassettes had been prayed over, they were auctioned by Ace Ankomah who did a good job of it, with his jokes which were really funny, he made the auctioning an interesting affair.

The Ambassadors then closed the show with an another impressive performance which was a fitting end to what had been a great night. Of course the Mc Reverend Cephas Amartey was excellent with his words of wisdom and encouragement. He was a great MC.

The launch was really a great one with a simple but beautiful set and a very responsive audience who were mostly made up of the church?s congregation.
