Shaggy Finally Touches Down After Over 8-Hours Delay

Shaggy steps of a Lincoln Navigator If you were to guess the delay margin of Shaggy?s arrival in Ghana by Friday morning, trust me, you would have been very far from right.

His 10:00 hours GMT arrival schedule for the Kotoka International Airport, Accra turned to 20:15 hours GMT. During this delay, hearts of folks at Charter House (event organizers) and Spacefon (major sponsors) were bleeding with fear. About eighteen hours from now, he should be shaking Accra in the first of his two concerts in Ghana.

The Kenyan Airline flight had delayed big time. It has actually been rescheduled and if things went their way, Shaggy would have landed in Accra just about a few minutes to his first show. For ones, we had to trust our own Ghana Airways to rescue Shaggy halfway through his trip to Ghana. That?s from Abidjan to Accra. So our man had to come to meet a not-so-large crowd compared to those gathered there in the early hours of the day when they were actually expecting him.

Press conference scheduled for Friday 16hours GMT was cancelled. In fact this affected lots of his other schedules especially of visiting some interesting tourist locations in Ghana. My information is that, the only thing Shaggy could do apart from performing at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday and Accra International Conference Centre on Sunday is to meet with the President of Ghana at the Castle in Accra.

This is because after Sunday, Shaggy is scheduled to leave Accra (on Monday) to complete his tour of Africa landing in Angola for the next three nights before leaving for the States.

Shaggy meets the press tomorrow. Stay connected for more on this conference.
