Prince Mydas readies new album on MOKA Entertainment

Silky, smooth, reggae, soul man Prince Mydas has signed a management contract with MOKA Entertainment in Accra, Ghana. This Jamaican-born, internationally acclaimed performer has toured the world with the likes of UB40, Bobby Brown, Maxi Priest, Shaggy, Patra and Shabba Ranks. His breadth of experience speaks volumes and his sound, described as soft, lyrical, sensual and penetrating while his lyrics offer a deep dose of reality.

Having appeared on Shaggy’s multi-platinum album, “Hotshot”, written and produced for artists from Roberta Flack to DaBrat and completed two of his own CDs, this veteran of the business also has two soundtracks to his credit. “Hope” was featured in the Kevin Costner movie “For the Love Of The Game” followed by “Still The One” in the Eddie Murphy/Robert DeNiro big screen release “Showtime”. He also owns his own record label, MOBA (Music Owned By Artists) Entertainment.

Prince Mydas said, “I chose MOKA because of the professionalism, organization, trustworthiness and belief that the two entities will go on to form one of the most powerful partnerships in organized music in Ghana. MOKA seems to agree with us that stars have to be discovered, polished and presented”.

MOKA Entertainment CEO, Alero Amoye said, “It’s a real coup to have landed Prince Mydas; with his experience, credentials and continued potential, he had the option of being represented by any one of the mega management teams around in the world. We are humbled by his decision to join MOKA and are excited to start working with this star.”

Prince Mydas is currently working on his 3rd CD, which is scheduled to be released in early 2011. This project is deliberately inspirationally focused and already the tracks completed showcase his diverse writing and vocal talents and dynamic beats. He is simultaneously working on a compilation CD that will feature some of Ghana’s top artists and is scheduled to be released in December 2010. Keep an eye out for this dynamic showman as he performs around West Africa before heading back out on a worldwide tour.
