Petrol prices go down by eleven cedis.

The Tema Oil Refinery has announced a reduction in the price of petrol by 11 cedis. The New ex-refinery price is 744.4 cedis a litre instead of 755 cedis fifty pesewas. The new price takes effect from today Monday23rd February 1998. Gas oil is to sell at 722 cedis instead of 729 cedis. The prices of kerosene and Liquid Petroleum Gas remain unchanged. This new development obviously is in line with government policy that ex-refinery prices of petroleum products should be adjusted with import parity prices. This is the second time in 2 months that the Tema Oil Refinery has reduced the prices of some petroleum products.
