When Nana Nti decided to give up a secured job in the UK to enter the music field full-time, he knew it wouldn’t be easy. But it was a choice he had to make and contribute his quota to Ghana.


The recording side of the business had always fascinated him, so he starting looking into schools, and ended up in a music school for some years to be well knowledgeable in it.


Even in the very beginning, Nana Nti is aware of the wide variety of artists in Ghana thus setting up a record and editing studio.


Even though he is in the recording business full-time, both at his Santa Maria based studio, he is certainly not lacking for work! And one big word that is on his forehead is to succeed in the music game.

Ghana Music.com: Why are you here in Ghana after some stay in UK?

Nana Nti: Pursued my MBA worked with a finance company for 3years, had to come back to contribute my quota to my Ghanaian society.



Ghana Music.com: What’s the wildest thing we can expect from you in terms of directing or effects?

Nana Nti: Unique concepts.


Ghana Music.com: I had a chance of watching, Mobile Boys new video done by you. First of all, well done.  And what’s the news about you and them?

Nana Nti: Will come to light soon.


Ghana Music.com: Who are some of the resident producers in the studio?

Nana Nti: Myself, and Nii aka King of Accra.


Ghana Music.com: Any big shots yet passing through the studio?

Nana Nti: We are talking to Reggie Rockstone.


Ghana Music.com: What’s this I hear about a compilation coming out?

Nana Nti: NT 1 Records is creating a platform for good untapped/raw talents to exhibit their skills out of which some will be part of the label.


Ghana Music.com: How are you planning to promote yourself because you look well organized?

Nana Nti: Integrated marketing communication.


Ghana Music.com: Will productions from your house change the game or make a big impression?

Nana Nti: It will complement existing works but will be positioned for its unique works.


Ghana Music.com: What’s your intake on the Ghana music industry now?

Nana Nti: I am very impressed with the current work of some artist and producers, it can only get better and competitive. You adapt or you die out. We need structures in place for artists and especially producers to earn enough royalties.
