A statement issued and signed by the first Vice-President of GOC, Mr Frank Appiah, said Lumba, the first recipient of the award, will be decorated at the Maiden Olympic Banquet slated for the Banquet Hall, State House, on Friday, June 25.

Other eminent persons who have supported the Olympic movement in Ghana as well as past medal winners at the previous Olympic and Commonwealth games will also be decorated.

They include Mr Justice D.F. Annan, Speaker of Parliament and Mr Kofi Badu, Managing Director of Graphic Company.
