Kojo Antwi, Live In Concert In Washington

Promoting his new album to hit stores in October, the world’s leading Afro Pop Musician, highlife maestro sometimes called highlife legend will on Thursday November 24th, 2005 (Thanksgiving Day) from 8pm to 2am shake ZANZIBAR (on the water front) 700 Water Street SW, Washington, DC 20024.

Kojo's music- Afro Pop is a well-tasty, magical blend of West Africa's Hi Life and Soukous, The Carribean's Lovers' Rock, a hint of Afro-America’s Rhythm and Blues, brewed in a large African pot and stirred with well-composed lyrics plus a voice so sweet.

Like a polished diamond, Kojo Antwi a.k.a Mr Music Man continues to sparkle, bringing light and joy to many through his sweet music and exciting shows across the globe.

In an exciting career spanning over two decades he has gone from bubbly vocalist through introspective songwriter and lead singer to consummate musician, arranger, producer and enigmatic performer.

He is a sheer delight to behold on stage. The handsome, soft-spoken Sagittarian (born Nov 24) says in his ever-mellow tone ‘years of playing in a band brought me this deep love for performing live and going through the motions with a select team to get a song just right’.

Kojo Antwi is a diamond indeed! Like a fine wine he sure has matured and become smoother with time but being the diamond that he is, the sparkle has always been right there.

Great performers, it has been said, are like the stars in the sky, scattered all over the world. Wherever you look up at night, North, South, East or West you will find a few shining bright. Having seen some of the very best on my travels, I am happy to accept that Kojo Antwi is one of the world’s sweetest lyricists and most exciting live performers.

Hosted by Dr. DEE a.k.a Heavy Dee (Formerly of Joy FM) and a guest featuring from UK’s Miss SANTE (Pak of 3), it will be a night to remember.
