?Kings of Highlife? Made Fresh

George Darko features on album Number One Records and Promotions, a company with very tried and tested ideas has made an entry into the Ghanaian music industry and in a big way.

The company which is making a multifaceted thrust in music production, music distribution, artist management, music production and event management have released their first album, Kings of Highlife Volume One.

According to Roy Aouad, General Manager of the company says Kings of Highlife Volume One is their first project and their aim is to sustain the best elements of Ghanaian popular music and build upon them with what is fresh and new on the scene.

?Kings of Highlife is a compilation and remixing of the music of George Darko, Ben Brako, Pat Thomas, Rex Gyamfi, Thomas Frimpong, Charles Amoah, Kojo Acquai and Bessa Simmons.? He said that soon there will be many others.

On the album which is receiving a lot of airplay on radio stations are a number of songs by the above-named musicians who have made their marks on the Ghanaian music scene.

But very refreshing and interesting is the club mix of songs of all the artistes on the album which is fast paced and has club music nuances very enjoyable and danceable.

Opening with Ben Brako?s songs, it shifts to other songs compacted in 12 minutes of non-stop dance music spanning songs of Bessa Simmons, Charles Amoah and the others.

The album has been released this week and is on sale throughout the country.
