Jazz Music With Amanda?At Mojo Lounge

Next Door, the Mecca of entertainment, has a new attraction as Amanda Amadu, the darling hostess goes to the rescue of hungry and thirsty fans at the Mojo Lounge discotheque, a wing of Next Door, the nation's leading beach resort.

As a step to delight jazz fans in Accra, Amanda, a charismatic music personality, will be in the driving seat from June 7.

The 1960 and 70's jazz groove of gems like Louis Amstrong, Billy Stray Horn, Miles Davies and Billie Holiday will be revisited at Mojo Lounge.

Local greats and others like Guy Warren now Kofi Ghanaba, Joe Kelly, Tommy Grippman, George Lee, Max Armah, Art Bonney are also on Amanda's list.

Amanda is so much in love with music and loves to entertain and see people, especially jazz fans enjoying jazz music and accepting it as part of their lifestyle.

This forthcoming package of jazz music presentation at Mojo Lounge, is expected to bring all jazz lovers back home to the lost world of jazz music, which has faded out, in their hearts into a limbo.

Amanda's show is beginning just before the start of the world cup football tournament in Germany. The idea according to Amanda, is to kill two birds with one stone by giving fans a jazz treat and enabling them to watch the world cup football matches on a big screen in comfort, and bliss of soccer.

Speaking to Amanda at the Next Door in an interview, the music hostess said she was motivated to help create ambience, an enabling environment and passion for enjoying jazz ,music.

Filling the vacuum of a jazz nightlife in Accra after the defunct Bassline Jazz Club and Jazz Optimist recently, has not been easy. However, there is a strong resolve to make this lofty jazz programme with Amanda a new awakening for jazz fans. The Mojo Lounge will rock to its foundation.

Jazz time with Amanda of Mojo Lounge is indeed the new hope for jazz fans.
