Introducing Qweiks

> Being the last of four male children, Qweiks was born July 22 1987. Growing up listening to his big brother’s old school rap tapes and his dad’s Michael Jackson collection, he started growing an interest in music at a very tender age. He would try to put words together often times and record them on any tape he laid his hands on. Well it usually landed him in troubled but he never knew quit. > > > At age 15, the young cat came together with few other sharp tongue lyricists (Trigmatic, Ill Big, P-Dice & Thugz Money) in his neighbourhood (DC) to start the rap group Blue Flag which was later known as CA22. Though it was a great team, like many other groups, it failed to stand the test of time. > > > After Senior High, Qweiks expanded his word play into poetry and script writing. He later decided to put his music ambition on hold after gaining admission in the Ghana Institute of Journalism to study communication. It was within these years that his marriage with spoken word grew alarmingly. He fused his art of storytelling with the skill of writing with humour, rhymes and rhythm to create amazing pictures in spoken word and poetry. He unofficially released two audio clip spoken word singles online (Dead And Gone, Cupid & Psyche). He has over 100 poems to his credit. > > > Now 7yrs after high school, the dynamic lyricist has shaped up his edges and he’s now back to making good artistic pieces. > > His comeback single “Home Again” featured multiple hip-hop award nominee – J.Town.
