For many up-and-coming musicians, getting a producer is one of the most difficult hurdles to overcome. Often it is only a few who are able to cross this hurdle.

This is because what they go through in their search for a producer is so difficult that many of them give up.

There are many talented singers who have not been able to come into the limelight because they cannot take the constant rejections.

For Abigail Bejdabeng, however, the story is completely different. Instead of looking for a producer, she was rather sought after by her producer.

Telling her story, Abigail said that she decided to come out with her own album after she featured on both of Kwaku Gyasi?s songs, 'Ayeyi' and 'Onyame Aseda'.

But ?even before I decided to go looking for someone to produce the album, I was contacted by Rabboni Productions, who said they wanted to take charge of the album because they had taken note of my work with Kwaku Gyasi and now here I am.

I will always be grateful to God because I know it took his grace for me to have things as easy as I did, looking at the struggles others are going through?.

Abigail is the latest to join the gospel music ranks with her album 'Awurade So Me Mu'.

Although this is her first professional outing, she is no novice. She has been singing all her life.

She, however, did not entertain thoughts of releasing her own album until she featured on Kwaku Gyasi?s songs and was motivated by her family, church leaders and others who thought she had what it took to embark on a professional career.

She took their advice and after months of preparation has come out with Awurade So Me Mu.

According to her, her motivation for singing is to preach the word of God. ?Singing is part of preaching, which people like us employ because not everybody has the gift of preaching the spoken word.

It is an opportunity to reach those I cannot get too physically?. Awurade So Me Mu has eight songs on cassette and 11 on CD.

The title track is a plea to God for help. A fast-paced song, it has jama rhythm with the drums effect very dominant.

On it Abigail cries out to God and asks Him to help her to weather the storms of life so that she does not sink or get lost.

'Biribi Wo Aseda Akyi' is a thanksgiving song on which Abigail gives praise to God and says that if there is anything beyond praise and worship she would give it to Him because he has forgiven her sins and made her famous in the sight of people when she was nobody.

Another danceable song, the rhythm is quite similar to that of the title track.

On Calvary, the theme is that of appreciation for the sacrifice Christ made on the cross for our sins. Abigail sings about the salvation of Jesus.

She says that He bought us at an expensive price on the cross, changed our destinies and saved us anew and that by his stripes we are healed.

'Mete Ase Yi' is slow paced and is very appropriate for worship not just for the rhythm but for the lyrics as well.

Abigail sings that for as long as she lives, she will praise and serve Him because when she dies she cannot do so.

Other songs on the cassette are 'Nea Waye Ye Me Fe', 'Tsena Me Mu' and 'Ayeyi Ahye Makoma Ma'.
