Artistes Ready For Obour Concert

The Accra International Conference Centre is expected to be the venue this Saturday night for one of the hottest live concerts to be organized this year.

Publicity has been intense and expectations have been high for the show being organized by Family Tree Entertainment, managers of Obour. The concert is dubbed “Celebrating Obour Live”.

Parading artistes from the major music genres in the country, the concert organizers have promised to give patrons a good show on the night.

Leading the hiplife pack is the most popular hiplife duo at the moment, Nkasei with their most popular song is Yefri Tuobodom. The two Naa-K and Shy will be on stage to portray the “bush” stuff that has made them both heroes and villains on Saturday.

The other hiplife artistes set to treat fans to good music include Castro, K. K. Fosu, Batman, Tic Tac, Buk Bak, VIP and Mzbel. Hiplife legend Reggie Rockstone is expected to be there too.

Amandzeba Nat Brew is well known for his infusion of traditional African rhythms into highlife music and he is also preparing to treat fans to his own brand of music on the night.

Fresh from releasing his latest album Ofori Amponsah will mount the stage on Saturday to do his own thing while Nobel Nketsiah stakes a claim for gospel music on Saturday night.

Backed by a nine-piece band and performing live at the show, the host artiste Obour will treat audience to compositions from his debut album to the latest. Known for his often bizarre and scary appearances on stage, Obour is poised to re-enact the images that came with his various albums.

“His ninety minutes on stage will be packed with drama, real entertainment, suspense and thrills from the opening act to the gripping climax” an official of Family Tree noted.

Describing what patrons should expect of his performance on Saturday, Obour promised to stage a show not seen anywhere before.? “I have not planned a stage act this intriguingly involving, not the one you saw at the Ghana Music Awards, not anywhere before. This is definitely an eye-opener of a concert”.

With only three albums to his credit the musician know officially as Bice Osei Kuffuor perhaps has more awards to his name than a lot of musicians would dream of having in their life-time.
