Dulugu assemblyman holds victory rally

Dulugu (Upper East) 8 Dec. '98, Members of the unit and watch dog committees in the Dulugu Electoral Area near Bolgatanga have been advised to put aside their selfish interests and work in unity to develop the area. The Dulugu assemblyman, Mr Samuel Anafo gave the advice at a victory rally he organised to thank the people for re-electing him to the Bolgatanga district assembly. Mr Anafo said the area lacked basic amenities and that if the people did not bury their differences, they could not initiate projects to attract the support of the assembly. He advised that as representatives of the people, who were duly elected, they should serve rather than lord it over the people. The regional fire officer, Mr Edward Ayebire, commended the people of Dulugu for protecting their environment from fires. He said the area would be recommended for an award as one of the communities that have obeyed the law son bush fire and urged them to keep it up. GRi
