Abrantie, Ambolley @ MOGO Concert

An impressive line-up of seasoned highlife musicians will on Friday night perform live at the Citi FM MOGO concert scheduled to take place at the National Theatre in Accra.

MOGO which stands for Music of Ghanaian Origin is in its fourth year and is one of the flagship programmes organised by Citi FM.

On stage Friday will be the evergreen Gyedu Blay Ambolley, Abrantie Amakye Dede, the Ramblers International Band, AB Crentsil, Lee Dodou and the only female artiste for the night, Asabea Cropper, who would all rock the audience with great tunes that made hits in the 80s and 90s.

All the musicians, who are to perform eight of their favourite hit songs each, have promised to put up their best shows ever.

The event which comes off two days before the December 7 general elections is meant to make highlife music lovers relax and enjoy good music and to prepare their minds for peaceful elections.

That night music lovers would have the opportunity to interact with all the musicians as well as have the chance to enjoy good live band music.

Business Development Manager of Citi FM, Nii Armah Dagadu told Beatwaves in a chat that the MOGO concert is a celebration of the different music forms of Ghana. The event is being sponsored by Coca Cola.
